'Are you on track?' by Bill Lee-Emery
Do you know someone who lives a charmed life? You've probably met the type. Things fall easily into place, their timing in life and business is impeccable and people seem to love them. They seem to be in the flow. Life works for them.
Talking with a friend, we uncovered several common elements to living in the flow or being on track.
Timing is a crucial element. Like surfers catching a wave – you can't be too early or too late. And following on the same analogy, you have to pick the wave that will give you the best ride - for your style.
There is always present an intention or wanting for something – whether the intention is conscious or not.
Awareness is also vital. We need to be aware of the signals from life itself, people and events. Out intuition needs to be switched on.
Living a charmed life also contains an element of trust in perfection, meaning that even if a specific event is not exactly what we want, it leads us into something better.
People I have known who best typify this kind of living, have enormous trust in life, God, or some version of the same ‘bigger than me' philosophy.
There appears to be little outward effort. Sure, there is still work and actions to be taken but it is not struggle – there is grace and ease in now things happen. It is more a joy to be involved in. We become a servant of the process rather than a slave to struggle.
Things occur outside our conscious control and the world seems to conspire to our benefit. Life at this time is free flowing, graceful, with maximum return on our investment of time and effort.
There is an element of supply and demand. Either you supply or you demand and you fit perfectly with others seeking to match up with you.
Living this kind of life is confirmation of being on track.
Good work – if you can get it huh!? So how can we place ourselves in the way of such good fortune? There are some clues to be gleaned from observing the lives of such ‘lucky' souls
