"If you limit your choices only to what seems possible or reasonable, you disconnect yourself from what you truly want, and all that is left is a compromise." Robert Fritz

Hi there..a series of unrelated events resulted in the idea for this month's ezine. It's all about tuning your thoughts to what you want to attract into your life - from clients to Christmas presents.

Set your 'radar' for what you really want.

Recently I was helping a student manage the preparation for her final year exams. I was explaining the reasons for ‘having questions in mind before you read'. Basically this sets the mind up to find the answers to the questions as you read. Your mind alerts you to the answers and makes them stand out from all the rest of the text. Simple enough. This phenomena has wider applications.

For example, last week I was speaking with a new client for the work life balance program and she mentioned that the program was just want she was looking for. It seems what I was offering hit the mark.

Further, at the local Sunday organic market a friend was commenting on how things always ‘just seem to come her way' exactly when she needed them. She put it down to co-incidence.

Then, a few weeks ago, I was discussing with a client his A, B and C type clients.
A's are the clients who pay on time, love your work and talk to everyone they know about your products or services. I love them!
B type clients pay on time and love your work but they don't necessarily talk about you.
C type clients pay late, take up a lot of your time, grizzle and complain and talk to everyone about your shortcomings.
It has been suggested to keep your A & B type clients and refer your C type clients to your competition!
A part of the exercise with my client was for him to write down the qualities of the ideal client with whom he loved to work and to be as specific as he could. He called a short time later and was surprised at the results. Lo and behold, more A & B type clients had started to show up and the C type clients didn't seem to be attracted to his business anymore. Hmmm….another co-incidence?

You probably have your own personal stories of how something turned up just in time or you found exactly the perfect gift for a friend. These events are commonplace and yet we can do so much more for ourselves and our businesses to amplify these effects with a little effort. Let me put this in a nutshell.

Clarity of thought leads to power – meaning the clearer we are about what, who, when and how we want something to show up in our lives, the easier it seems to come to us. It doesn't seem to matter what the external thing is; when we do the internal work (defining, deciding, clarifying) pathways open up. I have seen people do this with relationships, business ventures, finding the perfect clients, car, house, and even special presents for those you love – virtually anything.

Here are the simple steps.

  1. Decide on what you want (qualities, parameters, timing etc). Write them down
  2. Visualize the people, business or experience coming to you
  3. Make room for it to happen.
Are you my perfect client?
And here's something for you – perhaps. My new web site devoted to 'work life balance' won't be ready until mid August. So if you are my ideal A or B client for this project (click here to see my list), then you have another 2 weeks to tell me and save yourself quite a chunk of money. In the meantime here's a quick test (see the attachment to this newsletter) to check to see if you are about to burn out.
I truly hope you aren't about to burn out - but if you are, it pays to know ...before it's too late!
