SOME OF MY FAVOURITE BOOKS

These books are placed in no particular order of merit and can only represent a miniscule fraction of the books that could grace your bookshelves.

1. 'Seven Habits of Highly Effective People' by Stephen Covey
This international best seller is a must for everyone in business! Includes excellent time management ideas.

2.'Five simple Steps to Emotional Healing' by Gloria Arenson
This is one of my favourite books at present! The sub title is ‘the last self-help book you will ever need.' A bold statement & pretty much on the money. It can save you a fortune on therapy & its use will give you a new sense of freedom and confidence. Get it, read it...and start ‘tapping'.

3. 'Unlimited Power' by Anthony Robbins
A good introduction to Neuro-linguistic programming (NLP) and includes excellence references to ‘Metaprograms' as well as other valuable life expanding ideas.

4. 'Staying OK' by Amy & Thomas Harris
A classic book on Transactional Analysis with useful real life examples and strategies for change.

5 . 'The E Myth' by Michael Gerber
Excellent reading for understanding the importance of systems in business and the idea of working ‘on' rather than only ‘in' a business. If your work is overtaking your life, you may need this book!

6. 'Self Parenting' by Dr John Pollard
Wonderful book for anyone who wants to change and improve his or her internal relationship with themselves. Highly recommended.

7. 'Do I have to give up me to be with you?' by Jordan & Margaret Paul
A must for couples or those with wounded hearts. It contains great tools for working through conflict. It explores blocks to intimacy & how to resolve them

8. 'From Conflict to Caring' by Jordan & Margaret Paul
A workbook filled with exercises, checklists & other activities for couples to work through.

9. 'Time Line Therapy' by James & Woodsmall
Regarded as a classic in the field of understanding our neurological response to time. Learn how to ‘time travel' your life, make changes and set yourself up in the future. It is also an excellence reference on Metaprograms, values and much more

10. 'How to win the losing fight' by Elizabeth Keyes
First published 50 years ago about weight reduction, it has many great ideas still very relevant today. A delightful & invaluable book – whether you want to reduce weight or not!

11. 'Stop Procrastinating' by Bill Lee-Emery
What can I say - everyone needs a copy! It is currently out of print but email me with your request in the subject line if you want to be on the list when it is released as an e-book

12. 'The Artists Way' by Julia Cameron
If you have any blocks to your creativity or spirituality, then get this book! It will take you on a 12-week journey with daily exercises & playful homework. Be prepared to be challenged and changed during the process

13. 'Walking in this world' by Julia Cameron
This is a long awaited sequel to her magical ‘ Artists Way '. Worth exploring!

14. 'A return to love' by Marianne Williamson
This gifted interpretation of the ‘Course in Miracles' takes you on a spiritual journey with simplicity and clarity. It is a book that moves and changes those who read with their heart.

15 . 'The Family Virtues Guide' by Linda Kavelin Popov
While often described as spiritual training for children, it has also been used in prisons and the corporate world to bring out the best in all people, no matter what age. Drawn from seven major religions, it is a true multicultural and interfaith handbook to help us to live from our highest virtues.

16. 'Illusions' by Richard Bach.
Author of many inspiring books, Richard Bach has been a favourite of many people. In this delightful tale, he takes us on a profound and enlightening journey.

17. 'Conversations with God' by Neale Donald Walsch.
It started with one book and quickly grew into a series, not only in depth but scope as well. It can change your view on what ‘God' is and the nature of life. It is so much more than just ‘great reading'!

18. 'Mapping Inner Space' by Nancy Margulies
This is the best book I have seen on Mind Mapping with lots of great examples. Mind mapping is a great tool for creativity, planning, summarizing, enhancing learning, memory retention, gathering options & much more

19. 'Awakening Intuition' by Mona Lisa Shultz
She has some useful things to say on a very important topic. It has given me greater insights into the valuable work of medical intuitives. Worth exploring.

20. 'Love your disease – it's keeping you healthy' by Dr John Harrison
This book uncovers some of the deeper reasons behind many diseases and illnesses. He explores childhood choices and reactions in our younger lives as a way to understand how those decisions may still be influencing our lives and health today.

21. 'Work with Passion' by Nancy Anderson.
She leads the reader through the process of creating your ideal job. It includes tips on networking, taking chances, recognising opportunities, resumes & writing a query letter.

22. 'Organising from the inside out' by Julie Morgenstern.
If your office or desk is a bit messy – this book may help you out. She states there is no mystery or magic to getting rid of clutter – just a good system! Julie helps you create a system that works for you. Worked for me!

24. 'The path of least resistance' by Robert Fritz.
He explores ‘current reality' & ‘desired reality' and explains how the difference between these two creates ‘structural tension' and how this can be used to make life flow easier. Great reading.

25. 'Fish!' by Stephen Lundin et al.
This USA business bestseller contains some great ideas toboost morale and improve results. If you want to transform your workplace into a more fun and productive place, this is invaluable!

26. 'Fish! Sticks' & 'Fish! Tales' .
More from Stephen Lundin and team. Both are valuable additions to your fishy collection. They contain more ‘how to's' and real life applications of the Fish! Principles.

27. 'Who moved my Cheese?' by Spencer Johnson.
While this book takes less than an hour to read it can deeply influence your views on change – for life. Highly recommended for everyone affected by change….that's all of us!

28. 'Execution' by Larry Bossidy & Ram Charan
This book explores the discipline of getting things done. A must read for managers and leaders. I have compiled a 20-page summary of highlights from the book. If you would like a copy send me an email with your request in the subject line

29.'Enlightened Leadership' by Oakley & Krug.
This is another great book for managers & leaders who understand the need to work with and through people. It is based on maximizing the contributions of all employees and creating a shared culture of organisational goals, strategies and methods

30. 'The Portable Coach' by Thomas Leonard.
Thomas Leonard was the visionary of the coaching industry and was always pushing limits and ways of thinking. If you're done with striving to be where you want to be and are ready to attract it instead – this is for you. Highly recommended

31. 'The Power of Full Engagement' by Jim Loehr and Tony Schwartz.
The authors contend that you can't manage time but you can manage your personal energy . That's what their work is all about. For 30 years they have worked with world-class athletes and have taken their knowledge back into the corporate world. The situations are similar. High demands, enormous competition and massive pressure. The trick is how you manage your recovery or downtime. Excellent reading.

32. 'The Magicians Way' by William Whitecloud.

An ingriguing tale. Well written with useful and relevant ideas on making your way successfully through life. William is presently conducting workshops around the themes from the book.
